I’ve been reading this book Interaction of Color by Josef Albers from a recommendation by someone from my old studio. I don’t know how I didn’t come across it before. I highly recommend it for anyone working with colour in any creative field. It might seem a bit obscure at first but it’s fascinating once you try to understand all the different colour studies Josef Albers goes through in order to experiment with colour. It shows you how you can make colours interact with each other in order to create all sorts of optical and spatial illusions. Here are some of the studies results below which actually make a lot more sense once you’ve read the exercise steps for each of them.
